AKC Scent Work
Dear AKC Club Officer,

Did you know that 140+ AKC Scent Work trials were held across 25 states between the sport’s October launch and the end of 2017? More than 1,600 titles have been awarded! This fast-growing program is a great way to engage current members and attract new participants. Why not consider getting your Club licensed?
AKC Match Shows
AKC Scent Work is a fun, challenging activity that mimics the job of working detection dogs:

All AKC dogs 6 months or older can compete
Gives dogs an opportunity to use their strongest natural sense in a safe, engaging way
The many benefits include strengthening the bond between a handler and their dog
AKC Scent Work Can Fit Your Club's Resources
1   Clubs can hold AKC Scent Work trials as standalone events or add them to All-Breed, Group or Specialty Conformation shows

2   They require minimal supplies and can be held in a wide range of locations (e.g. Container class is very adaptable to a ring environment)

3   You decide how many and what type of classes to include in your Club’s Scent Work trial
