To kick off the year, the American Wirehaired Pointing Griffon Foundation (AWPGF), the 501(c)(3) affiliate to the AKC parent club — American Wirehaired Pointing Griffon Association, is sponsoring a virtual symposium on issues related to genetics and breeding on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at 3:00 pm Eastern Time. The webinar will feature two excellent speakers. Elaine Ostrander, PhD, a geneticist with the National Institutes of Health, will talk with us about what the dog genome sequence can tell us about our dogs. Melissa Goodman, DVM, a veterinarian focused on reproduction, will discuss canine ovulation timing.
